The Dead Weather Announce New Live Album, Concert Film

The Dead Weather—the band featuring Jack White and the Kills‘ Alison Mosshart—took the stage at Los Angeles’ Mayan Theater in 2009. That performance is being turned into a live album and concert film, the latter of which is directed by Vern Moen. The Dead Weather: Live at the Mayan comes as a 180-gram LP/DVD set in the latest Vault Package from Third Man Records’ long-running subscription service. The package also comes with a new 7″ from the band, as well as a box to hold previous Dead Weather singles from the subscription series. The Dead Weather appeared on an episode of the CNN series “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown” last year, where they performed “Hang You From the Heavens” from their 2009 LP Horehound. Listen to an excerpt of that song from Live at the Mayan below.
