The Decemberists’ Colin Meloy Announces Children’s Book About Pete Seeger

The Decemberists‘ Colin Meloy has written a series of kids’ books in the past, and today, it’s been announced that he’s got a couple more coming soon. First up is The Golden Thread, a picture book biography about the late Pete Seeger. It’s illustrated by Carson Ellis—his collaborator from the Wildwood series—and is scheduled to arrive summer 2017 via Balzer + Bray.
The other book, which is also a collaboration with Ellis, is described by Publishers Weekly as a “middle grade novel about an impressionable young American who falls in with a ragtag group of pickpockets in 1961 France.”
