The Flaming Lips Selling $125 Bottles of Whiskey

The Flaming Lips are releasing a special whiskey blend in collaboration with Few Spirits called the “Brainville Rye Whiskey.” It’s made from a mixture of “rye, corn and malted barley grown within 150 miles” of Few’s distillery in Evanston, Illinois, according to a press release. The 80-proof whiskey will be released this October.  It will be available only as a limited edition run of 5,000 750-mL bottles sold at a suggested retail price of $124.99. You can find the bottle’s label (designed by Status Serigraph) below, along with the Flaming Lips’ current tour dates.

Wayne Coyne shared this quote in a press release:

Whiskey… it’s such a volatile drink. Upon pouring a drink It’s like accepting that you may become a werewolf … And really… Who doesn’t want to become a werewolf ??? Ha…
