The Kinks’ Ray and Dave Davies Reunite on Stage

Last night, The Kinks‘ Ray and Dave Davies performed “You Really Got Me” together tonight for the first time in about 20 years, Brooklyn Vegan reports. Dave Davies was playing at Assembly Hall in North London when he brought out his brother. Watch video below.

Kinks reunion rumors have gone around for years. In interviews, both brothers have gone back and forth, hinting at a reunion only to squash the possibility later. Dave Davies hinted at a reunion in early 2014, saying he and Ray were in discussions to put together a 50th anniversary tour. (That didn’t happen.) In 2007, when Ray mentioned in interviews that he’d be interested in getting the band back together, Dave shot the idea down, saying his brother had been doing “karaoke Kinks shows since 1996.”
