The Music of Grand Theft Auto V Box Set Announced

Grand Theft Auto V was a blockbuster video game, yes, but it also housed an impressive, huge soundtrack. There were original songs created specifically for the game and radio stations hosted by Flying Lotus, Wavves, Twin Shadow, and others. Now, that music is getting released as a 59 song box set. The Music of Grand Theft Auto V is out December 9, via Rockstar and Mass Appeal.

The box set features all the original music created for the game, songs exclusively available in the game, and highlights of other music on the soundtrack. There’s original music from A$AP Rocky, Tyler the Creator, Twin Shadow, Wavves, Flying Lotus, and Yeasayer, along with the original score composed by Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, the Alchemist, and Oh No.

It’ll be available on vinyl (seen above) and CD (seen below). The vinyl release includes a color booklet and lithograph poster, while the CD gets that along with a USB drive shaped like a gold brick.

GTAV is getting a PS4 and Xbox One release on November 18; a PC version is out January 27. As previously announced, the game’s latest version will feature an expanded version of Flying Lotus’ radio station. That’s not all: Each radio station will have expanded, longer playlists, along with additional radio commentary. (Wavves and Twin Shadow are amongst the artists who’ve contributed commentary.)
