The National’s Bryce Dessner is spearheading the debut album from the Brooklyn Youth Chorus. It’s called Black Mountain Songs, and it’s out March 31 via New Amsterdam Records. The project was created by Dessner, and co-curated by Dessner and Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry. Listen to Dessner’s contribution to the album, “Black Mountain Song,” and find the tracklisting below. The album is a studio recording of an evening-length stage work of the same name, which premiered at BAM’s 2014 Next Wave Festival. Dessner plays guitar on the album, while Parry performs guitar and bass.

Black Mountain Songs is a celebration of Black Mountain College. It features music from Dessner and Parry, Caroline Shaw, Jherek Bischoff, John King, Nico Muhly, Aleksandra Vrebalov, and a collaboration between Dessner and Tim Hecker.
