The Orb Announce New Album, Share “5th Dimensions”: Listen

The Orb—the long-running electronic music group featuring Alex Paterson and Thomas Fehlmann—released their last album, Moonbuilding 2703 AD, last year. Now, they’ve announced a follow-up called Chill, Out World! It’s out October 14 via Kompakt. Paterson referred to the record as a “protest album in reverse” in a press release. “We didn’t intend to rehash old chill out vibes,” Fehlmann added. “On the contrary. It’s the 21st century and it seems like a good idea for people to sit back and chill the fuck out, before continuing to act destructively.” The announcement is accompanied by a new track called “5th Dimensions.” Stream it below.
