Pitchfork is happy to announce the fifth issue of The Pitchfork Review, our quarterly, perfect-bound print publication. It’s on sale now at the publication’s website and available next week via select retailers. Subscriber copies started shipping last week.

Issue five of The Pitchfork Review features:

  • An extended 12-page version of our interview with Björk
  • A 19,000-word oral history on Jawbreaker that focuses on the 24 Hour Revenge Therapy era
  • A feature on the origins and queer legacy of the B-52s
  • A journey with the KLF
  • An exploration of Toody and Fred Cole of Dead Moon’s multi-decade musical marriage
  • A feature on the tandem rise of N.W.A. and the reality TV show “COPS”
  • Much more!

Subscriptions are priced at an annual rate of $49.99. Single copies are available for $19.96, in honor of the year that Pitchfork debuted.

On April 8 at 7 p.m., we’ll host a release party for the new issue at WORD Books, located at 126 Franklin St. in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It will feature contributor T. Cole Rachel in conversation with Fred Schneider of the B-52s. This event is free and open to the public, though space is limited.
