The Replacements Biography Trouble Boys Announced

The Replacements are the subject of Bob Mehr’s new book Trouble Boys: The True Story of the Replacements. It’s out March 1 via Da Capo Press. The 520-page book was written with the participation of Paul Westerberg, Tommy Stinson, Slim Dunlap, and the late Bob Stinson’s family members. Over the past decade, Mehr conducted hundreds of interviews and was given full access to the band’s archives. That’s the book’s cover below.

The book features interviews with Peter Buck, Frank Black, Wayne Coyne, Seymour Stein, Winona Ryder, and many others. It also features several rare and unreleased images.

The Replacements reunited two years ago. According to Westerberg, their show at Nos Primavera Sound in Porto was their last. Westerberg has a new band with Juliana Hatfield, The I Don’t Cares.
