The Wrens Release New Song "Three Types of Reading Ambiguity" on Limited Edition Cassette

Earlier this year, the Wrens revealed that their forthcoming album was in the process of being mastered. Now, it’s been revealed that one of their new songs is being released on a limited edition cassette. “Three Types of Reading Ambiguity” is being offered by Esopus Magazine as part of their Premium subscription package.

Each year, Esopus offer a limited edition artwork to their Premium subscribers. This year, it’s a collaboration between the Wrens’ Charles Bissell and artist Beth Campbell. The custom-designed tape features a version of the new Wrens song on one side and an alternate version by Campbell on the other. The package also includes a 17″ x 30″ print of a new Campbell drawing, a poster of Bissell’s lyrics, and a download code featuring music, videos, and more.

Esopus released a podcast featuring interviews with both Bissell and Campbell. It also includes excerpts from both tracks. “Three Types of Reading Ambiguity” was apparently written seven years ago. Listen and find more shots of the packaging below.
