The xx Enlist Cat Power, Robyn, Sampha, More for London Shows

The xx have enlisted a special lineup of support acts for their “Night + Day” event series, whose main attraction is their March 8-15 residency at London’s O2 Brixton Academy. Among the support acts are their U.S. tour companions Sampha and Kelela, along with Cat Power, Savages’ Jehnny Beth on solo piano, Floating Points, Robyn’s “RBN/RMX Live” project, Francis and the Lights, Joy Orbison, the London Contemporary Orchestra performing Mica Levi, and more. See the dates and find more info here. Although the shows are sold out, the band encouraged ticket holders to swap their tickets for different dates here.

The xx are throwing after-parties on four of the nights, featuring DJ sets from Robyn, Sampha, Mica Levi, and more. They’re also teaming with Reprezent Radio for, among other things, live broadcasts from Brixton Academy. In addition to all that, the xx will curate film screenings, host a pop-up shop, and raise money for several charities. Plus, Jamie xx has announced an all-dayer at Brixton Academy on March 12.
