Thom Yorke Shares Archival Material While Radiohead Hit the Studio

Two days after sharing a photo of an unlabeled white record, Thom Yorke has further hinted at more activity in the Radiohead camp. Today, he’s been tweeting photos of Radiohead archival material. One photo contains modified lyrics to “A Wolf at the Door”, which originally appeared on 2003′s Hail to the ThiefAnother contains artwork that references “Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses”, a solo song from 2009.

The more salient news, however, seems to be why Yorke is posting all this material. “Stanley & me going thru15years of discarded words & pictures..!while overdubs happen in Radiohead studio.2nd day only,” he wrote on Twitter.

That would jibe with previous reports that Radiohead are working on the follow up to 2011′s King of Limbs. Earlier in the year Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood told BBC Radio 6 that “[Radiohead is] going to start up in September, playing, rehearsing and recording and see how it’s sounding”. Prior to this interview, Radiohead had taken a year off.

Sharp-eyed fans have also noted that the background artwork in the photo of the white vinyl resembles the work of long-time collaborator Stanley Donwood. Specifically, the artwork appears to reference his work for Yorke’s Atoms for Peace side project.
