Thundercat Shares Animated “Song for the Dead” Video: Watch

One year ago today, Thundercat released his mini-album The Beyond / Where the Giants Roam. To mark the anniversary, he’s shared the video for “Song for the Dead.” Animated by Ry No, it finds a cartoon Thundercat playing music and traversing the universe to cope with the loss of his pet wolf. Watch it below, via Adult Swim.

Thundercat is hitting the road for a number of shows this summer. Among them are three in California with Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label. Those shows will also feature FlyLo, Shabazz Palaces, Funkadelic featuring George Clinton and Parliament, and the Gaslamp Killer. See his tour itinerary below.
