Thundercat Talks Funk, Unveils the Process Behind "Them Changes"

Thundercat, aka Stephen Bruner, was recently a guest on Song Exploder, where he gave an interview about “Them Changes”, a song that he coproduced with Flying Lotus. In the interview, Bruner discusses the song’s prominent Isley Brothers sample, his maple bass, the Moogerfooger he used on the song, Flying Lotus’ creative process, and how Kamasi Washington came to be featured on the song.
