Tidal Sued for Pregnancy Discrimination

Former Tidal employee Lisette Paulson is suing the company on grounds of sex and pregnancy discrimination, as TMZ points out. According to the complaint obtained by Pitchfork, Paulson was fired from Tidal the day after she requested arrangements be made for her to use a breast pump in a private room. She claims that Tidal Chief Operating Officer Deiree Perez asked her if she could use the bathroom to pump, and also told her that she could not use an office. Paulson’s lawsuit asserts that Tidal violated the Fair Labor Standards Act, as well as New York state labor laws. Pitchfork has reached out to Tidal representatives for comment.
