Haim sisters Este, Alana, and Danielle host a show on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio called “Haim Time”. They were joined on last night’s episode by Tobias Jesso Jr. Tonight’s theme was “The Battle of the Movie Song,” so the sisters played songs that were specifically commissioned for movies. Listen to the show here.

Alana kicked off the battle with Paul McCartney and Wings’ “Live and Let Die” from the James Bond film of the same name. She then played Will Smith Men in Black title track and Michael Jackson’s theme for Free Willy.

Este chose Underworld’s “Born Slippy .NUXX” from Trainspotting, Public Enemy’s “Fight the Power” from Do the Right Thing, and Dirty Dancing‘s “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life”.

Danielle picked Simon & Garfunkel’s The Graduate cut “Mrs. Robinson”, Destiny’s Child’s “Independent Women Part I” from Charlie’s Angels, and closed out with R. Kelly’s inspirational Space Jam track “I Believe I Can Fly”.

During the show the Haim sisters and Jesso discussed Uber etiquette, Este’s childhood experience with Men in Black, how Jesso didn’t hit puberty until after high school, and the time that Este sang “I Believe I Can Fly” on an airplane’s intercom.

At the end of the show, Jesso chose Danielle as the “hands down” winner. He then closed out the show with The Little Mermaid‘s “Under the Sea”.

Earlier this year, Haim and Jesso came together on stage in Los Angeles to cover Haim’s “Forever”, the Ghostbusters theme, and OutKast’s “Hey Ya!”.
