Tom Waits to Star in Hulu Series "Citizen"

Following his appearances in “The Simpsons,” The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Mystery Men, and several Jim Jarmusch films, Tom Waits‘ latest acting gig has been revealed. He’ll star in a Hulu supernatural drama called “Citizen,” Deadline reports. The show from director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) is described as a hero’s origin story with elements of both “magical realism” and “gritty vigilantism.” Waits plays Cesar, a priest whose guerrilla humanitarian operation is legally dubious.
