Travis Scott Urges Fan to Jump From Balcony at NYC Show: Video

Last night, Travis Scott’s Birds Eye View Tour took him to Terminal 5 in New York City. During the show, Travis encouraged a fan to jump from the venue’s balcony into the crowd. The fan was hanging off the balcony railing while Travis did Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight’s “outside.” After the song, Travis asked him, “I see you, but are you gon’ do it?” and said, “They gon’ catch you; don’t be scared!” He then began “A-Team,” and the fan dropped into the crowd. Further footage shows concert attendees jumping from the balcony and into the crowd during Drake’s More Life song “Portland” (which features Travis and MigosQuavo), as well as Travis’ “through the late night.” The videos do not reveal any Travis encouragement during the latter two tracks.

In addition, video shows Travis giving a ring to one of the fans who jumped, although it is unclear which one. Later in the show, a different fan was reportedly injured and subsequently hospitalized after falling from the third-level balcony. Scott’s team released a statement in response to that fan’s injuries, claiming that an investigation was underway to determine whether the fan jumped or was pushed from the balcony. According to TMZ, “nobody was cited” for the behavior, and the FDNY was not needed to assist anyone.
