“Twin Peaks” Soundtrack to Be Reissued

Death Waltz has detailed its reissue of the original soundtrack for David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks,” which first came out in 1990. It goes on sale online on August 10. The new vinyl includes lyrics and liner notes from composer Angelo Badalamenti, fansite Welcome to Twin Peaks reports (via Fact). The cover, designed by Sam Smith, pays homage to the tiling of the Black Lodge from Lynch’s show; Lynch approved the artwork. The vinyl is “Damn Fine Coffee” color, another nod to the series. See the vinyl and artwork below. Scroll down for the tracklist to Badalamenti’s score.

When the soundtrack reissue hits retail stores on September 9, a number of participating locations across the United States will host “Twin Peaks”-themed “coffee and pie” events to celebrate the release. See the list of stores here.

Earlier this year, Xiu Xiu paid homage to the “Twin Peaks” soundtrack with their new album Plays the Music of Twin Peaks. The record featured their interpretations of most of the songs from Badalamenti’s score.
