Vic Mensa Releases New EP There’s Alot Going On

Vic Mensa has released a new EP called There’s Alot Going On. It’s his first project since the release of his breakout INNANETAPE in 2013. Listen now via iTunes and Spotify. The project precedes his forthcoming debut album, Traffic, which will be released on Jay Z’s Roc Nation label. Mensa premiered the song “16 Shots” via Beats 1 earlier today; the song is dedicated to Laquan McDonald, a Chicago teenager who was shot 16 times and killed by police officers in 2014. Mensa has also partnered with the Hip Hop Caucus’ Respect My Vote! campaign to make the EP a free download until July 4 for fans who make the pledge to vote; that download will be available tomorrow. Update (11:00 a.m.): Download the EP in exchange for a pledge to vote here.
