Watch Aphex Twin’s First New Music Video in 17 Years

Aphex Twin recently announced a new EP called Cheetah, out July 8 via Warp. Today, he’s shared the visual for the EP’s “CIRKLON3 [ Колхозная mix ].” It’s Aphex’s first official music video in 17 years, and it’s directed by someone who wasn’t even born back then: Ryan Wyer, a 12-year-old from Dublin. (Aphex discoverd Wyer through his YouTube channel.) The video stars Wyer, his friends, and his family. They dance around wearing Aphex Twin apparel and, at times, donning Aphex Twin masks (with the face from the Richard D. James Album cover). After the credits roll, an ominous note reads “To Be Continued.” Watch it below.
