Watch Bleachers Live-Score The Breakfast Club

Jack Antonoff and Bleachers performed an original score for The Breakfast Club in L.A. last night. As part of the Film Independent at LACMA’s “Bring The Noise” film series, the band accompanied a live screening of John Hughes’ classic 1985 flick. Check out footage from the event below. In an earlier statement, Antonoff expressed his profound connection to the film. “I grew up in suburban New Jersey in a similar state of strange boredom as The Breakfast Club,” he said. “I constantly thought about getting out, and that feeling is so present in this film.” Bleachers also performed their new song “Don’t Take the Money,” which they shared earlier this week. The band are headed out on tour later this month. Their last album was 2014’s Strange Desire.
