Watch Bon Iver Discuss For Emma, Forever Ago on George Martin’s “Soundbreaking”

“Soundbreaking” is a new PBS documentary series created by the late producer George Martin (and produced by Show of Force). The series tells the stories behind some of the greatest recordings ever made, and it premieres on November 14. The second episode, “Painting With Sound,” focuses on artists’ work in the studio. Featured on the program is Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, who discusses the creation of For Emma, Forever Ago, and offers a glimpse at his studio setup. “Painting With Sound” also features interviews with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Rick Rubin, Tony Visconti, Elton John, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Beck, tUnE-yArDs, the Eurythmics, and others. They discuss Pet Sounds, the Beatles, and more. The full episode airs November 15 on PBS.
