Watch Cass McCombs’ New “Run Sister Run” Video

Cass McCombs has shared a new video for “Run Sister Run” from his 2016 album Mangy Love. The clip, which premiered today on Vogue, is directed by Rachael Pony Cassells and it’s inspired by Tracie Léost’s 115 kilometre run to raise awareness for the tragedies of British Columbia’s Highway of Tears. The stretch of road along the Trans-Canada Highway has been the site of numerous murders and disappearances of native women. In the clip, Léost runs toward the memorial site and reflects on her journey. Watch the video and a documentary with Léost’s commentary below, and read an interview with Cassells and Léost on Vogue. McCombs has previously shared videos for “Opposite House” and “Medusa’s Outhouse.”
