Watch Drake’s New Short Film Please Forgive Me

For the past few weeks, Drake has been teasing a new short film, Please Forgive Me, featuring music from VIEWS. It’s out now via Apple Music; watch it here. Set in Johannesburg, the 20-minute video stars Drake alongside Fanny Neguesha and right-hand man Popcaan, who hatch a plan to make a fast $1 million. Needless to say, it doesn’t go smoothly—a journey into a shady underworld ensues, with explosions, car chases, shootouts, a diversion into the Namibian desert, and an explosive finale. The film includes “One Dance,” “Controlla” (with Popcaan back on the track), “Summer’s Over Interlude,” and more songs from VIEWS. Like the video for “Child’s Play,” the new short features soundtrack work by Noah “40” Shebib. Please Forgive Me was co-directed by Drake and Anthony Mandler, who previously worked with the rapper on videos for “Over,” “Find Your Love,” and “Miss Me” off Thank Me Later.
