Watch Drive-By Truckers’ New Video for “Surrender Under Protest”

Drive-By Truckers have shared a video for “Surrender Under Protest” from their latest album American Band. The clip was directed by Lance Bangs and features the band performing the song interspersed with footage of Black Lives Matter protests. Watch it below. Drive-By Truckers singer and guitarist Patterson Hood shared the following statement about the video:

Lance Bangs filmed our new video for Surrender Under Protest at the foot of Mississippi Avenue under the Fremont Bridge in Portland Oregon. I’ve long been a fun of Lance’s work and instinctively knew he would know exactly the perfect visual element for this song. We were filmed during the first rain of the season. Enjoy!
