Watch Paul McCartney, Neil Young Perform Beatles Songs at Desert Trip

Last night, Paul McCartney and Neil Young both played Desert Trip, a mega-concert held at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, CA (where Coachella is also staged). During McCartney’s set, he welcomed Neil back to the stage to join him for a performance of the Beatles’ “A Day in the Life,” which eventually morphs into John Lennon’s “Give Peace a Chance.” They also did “Why Don’t We Do It in the Road,” which surprisingly, is the first time McCartney has performed the song live. Watch it happen below. The two previously performed “A Day in the Life” together at a 2009 concert at London’s Hyde Park.
