Watch Radiohead’s New “The Numbers” Video, Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson

Radiohead have shared a new music video for A Moon Shaped Pool’s “The Numbers.” Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, and filmed in Tarzana, California, the video depicts Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood playing the song alongside a Roland CR-78 drum machine. The video ends with Greenwood turning off the CR-78, and Thom mysteriously says “probably.”

Paul Thomas Anderson has directed two other music videos for the band: “Daydreaming” and “Present Tense.”  The latter featured a similar premise of Jonny and Thom performing the song with a CR-78. Select fans won a 35-mm print of Anderson’s video of “Daydreaming” as part of contest held during Radiohead’s worldwide streaming event for AMSP.

Previously the band has shared a music video for “Burn the Witch” and artist-created video vignettes  for “Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor Rich Man Poor Man Beggar Man Thief,” “The Numbers,” “Identikit,” “Glass Eyes,” “Daydreaming,” “Ful Stop,” and “Desert Island Disk.”
