Watch Travis Scott’s Surreal New Short Film Birds in the Trap

Travis Scott has shared a new 14-minute short film on Apple Music. It’s called Birds in the Trap, and yes, it features music from his album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. Directed by Fleur Fortune (who recently directed the Avalanches’ “Frankie Sinatra” video), it begins with Scott behind the wheel of a car. In short order, Scott orders a hot dog, fumbles with it while driving, gets in a car crash, and is hospitalized. At that point, the video becomes much more abstract. It ends with crumbling buildings, crashed cars, bloody bodies, people who appear to be cyborgs, and more. Watch it here, and find a preview below. Last year, Scott shared a short documentary called La Flame and starred in a new campaign video for Yves Saint Laurent. The new short film comes on the heels of Scott comparing himself to David Blaine in reference to the incident where he fell through the stage at a Drake concert.
