Weezer Announce Vinyl Reissues of First Six Albums
Weezer have announced that they will reissue their first six albums on vinyl. The new reissues include 1994’s The Blue Album, 1996’s Pinkerton, 2001’s The Green Album, 2002’s Maladroit, 2005’s Make Believe, and 2008’s The Red Album. The reissues are out October 28 via Geffen/UMe. Check them out here.
Earlier this week, Pinkerton went platinum, days before the album’s 20th anniversary. Geffen/UMe’s new reissue of Pinkerton is the album’s second reissue this year. This past May, subscription service Vinyl Me, Please reissued the album, along with a Pinkerton-inspired sake cocktail recipe. Also this year, Weezer released their most recent album, another self-titled dubbed The White Album.
