Weezer’s Pinkerton Goes Platinum Just Before 20-Year Anniversary

Weezer’s sophomore album Pinkerton is much beloved by fans, and now the record has gone platinum in the United States eight days before the 20th anniversary of its release, as Stereogum points out. In a post to their Instagram, the band thanks fans both home and #acrossthesea for helping them reach the achievement. Check that out below. Weezer’s 2016 vinyl reissue of Pinkerton came with a special sake cocktail recipe. On their Memories Tour in 2010, the band performed Weezer (Blue Album) and Pinkerton in their entireties.
