Tonight, Drake served as Team Canada’s coach at the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, facing off against Kevin Hart, Team USA’s coach. Team Canada won, led by MVP Win Butler (of Arcade Fire). Butler scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebonds, and it’s now his second year in a row on the winning team. During his MVP speech, Butler got cut off as he started to talk about politics and healthcare. Watch Butler’s speech below, via ArcadeFireTube. Also, check out his pre-game locker and number 34 jersey. And watch Drake’s pre-game speech, mid-game evaluation, and post-game speech on NBA.com. Update (2/12 11:13 p.m.): Check out Win Butler posing with his MVP trophy below. Update (2/12 11:47 p.m.): Butler has shared another photo, this one with his “trainer,” director Spike Jonze.

Prior to the game, Drake alluded to his beef with Meek Mill. He told Hart that it’s been a rough year for his city. Hart, like Meek, is from Philadelphia.

Thank you very much. I been, I’ve lived in the great city of Montreal for 15 years. I represented Montreal. If you guys want to fast track my Canadian citizenship, hopefully, this’ll help my permanent residence. I just want to say that I’m retiring as a celebrity right now, so I will not be eligible for the celebrity game next year. I’m retiring as a celebrity, so I brought this home for Canada. Respect to Drake, respect to Team Canada. Alright.

I just wanna say it’s an election year in the U.S., and the U.S. has a lot it can learn from Canada— healthcare, taking care of people.

Win receives his MVP. It was all good here with ESPN. It was all ‘respect to @Drake‘ and stuff. pic.twitter.com/LSKMxlWB7I

…but then.. “We’re talking about celebrity stuff, not politics”. DANGEROUS! You entered a hazardous zone, Win. pic.twitter.com/iz2vhxxGIV
