Xiu Xiu Announce New Album FORGET, Share New Track “Wondering”: Listen

Xiu Xiu recently released Plays the Music of Twin Peaks—an album paying homage to the music of David Lynch’s iconic series. On February 24, they’ll release their new album FORGET via Polyvinyl. The album was produced by John Congleton, Greg Saunier (Deerhoof), and Xiu Xiu’s own Angelo Seo. It also features Kristof Hahn (Swans), Charlemagne Palestine, Vaginal Davis, and more. Below, listen to a new song from the album, “Wondering,” and see the artwork and tracklist.

The calligraphy on the album’s artwork translates to “we forget.” In a statement, Xiu Xiu’s Jamie Stewart discussed the album’s title. “To forget uncontrollably embraces the duality of human frailty,” he wrote. “It is a rebirth in blanked out renewal but it also drowns and mutilates our at tempt to hold on to what is dear.”
