YACHT Premiere "L.A. Plays Itself" Video in Conjunction With Uber Surge Pricing

YACHT‘s new album I Thought the Future Would Be Cooler is out October 16. Today, they revealed the video for their new single “L.A. Plays Itself” via a dedicated website. But there’s a catch: The video is viewable when Uber begins surge pricing at 1.1x the normal rate in Los Angeles. (Thus, in a way, L.A.’s traffic patterns automatically hit the play button.) 

When L.A.’s Uber pricing exceeds 2x the normal rate, they will drop a Darq E Freaker remix of the single.
