Yoko Ono and The Flaming Lips Collaborate On "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)"
Yoko Ono and The Flaming Lips have shared a cover of Ono and John Lennon’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” for the forthcoming Amazon Prime compilation All Is Bright, a 40-song holiday playlist that came out today.
All Is Bright features classic and newly-recorded material from Yoko Ono and Flaming Lips, Amanda Palmer, Brandi Carlile, Jessie Baylin, Liz Phair, Heartless Bastards, Lucinda Williams, and many others. This winter Amazon will be debuting behind-the-scenes recordings, live performances and one-on-one conversations with artists featured on All Is Bright. Check out the tracklist here.
The Flaming Lips have previously teamed with the Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band for a recording of their holiday track “Atlas Eets Christmas”. Watch them perform Ono’s “Chesire Cat Cry” together on Letterman, below.
