Yoko Ono Organizes Giant Human Peace Sign for John Lennon's 75th Birthday

John Lennon would have turned 75 on October 9, and today, Yoko Ono celebrated her late husband by attempting to organize the world’s largest human peace sign in New York’s Central Park. Although a representative from Guinness World Records told CBS News that the gathering didn’t quite break the world record, a lot of people certainly showed up. Watch aerial footage below.

According to the Guinness rep, over 5,000 people would have needed to attend in order to break the record. Over 2,000 people participated. Ono was aiming for 6,000 to 10,000 participants. She asked that those involved support the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus.
