You Can Win a Stephin Merritt Standee on the Magnetic Fields Tour

Concertgoers attending the Magnetic Fields’ ongoing tour will soon have the opportunity to bring Stephin Merritt into their own homes. Fans are now being given the chance to win a life-sized standee of Merritt and a five-LP vinyl set of the new Magnetic Fields album, 50 Songs Memoir. To win, an entrant can visit the merchandise table at any remaining stop on the tour, take a selfie with the Merritt standee there, and post on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook with the hashtag #StephinStandee. Those who can’t make it to a show or don’t have a tour stop in their city can also win by printing out the photo and following the same steps.

Stephin Merritt will be the next guest for Pitchfork and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago’s “In Sight Out” series, which covers new perspectives in music, art, and culture. The conversation will be held April 18. Previous “In Sight Out” talks featured Run the Jewels and Neko Case, Jeff Tweedy and Carrie Brownstein, Mick Jenkins, and Genesis P-Orridge.
