A Tribe Called Quest’s Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge Announce “Marvel’s Luke Cage” Live Concert
A Tribe Called Quest’s Ali Shaheed Muhammad and composer/producer Adrian Younge provided the score for Netflix’s upcoming superhero show “Marvel’s Luke Cage,” streaming September 30. Today, the production company ArtDontSleep has announced a concert that will bring the score to life with a 40-piece orchestra, curated by Muhammad and Younge and conducted by Brainfeeder associate Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. “Marvel’s Luke Cage”: The Live Score takes place on October 6 at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel, Los Angeles. Comedian Russell Peters and Wayne Brady will host the concert, and No I.D. will open with a DJ set. Tickets go on sale September 24 at 10 a.m. Pacific. See a flyer for the concert below.
Marvel’s Luke Cage Original Soundtrack Album is out October 7. Charles Bradley, Faith Evans, Jidenna, and Raphael Saadiq have been announced as musical guests on the show.
