Alex G Announces New Album Rocket, Shares Two New Songs: Listen

Alex G has announced a new album called Rocket. The follow-up to 2015’s Beach Music is out May 19 via Domino. The album was mixed by Jacob Portrait (Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Bass Drum of Death), who also mixed Alex’s previous LP. The announcement is accompanied by two new songs, “Bobby” and “Witch.” Below, watch the new “Bobby” video (directed by Colin Acchione), and listen to “Witch.” Scroll down for the artwork and tracklist.

Last year, Alex contributed to both of Frank Ocean’s albums, Blonde and Endless. He featured prominently on the latter, playing guitar on multiple tracks, including the excellent “Rushes To.” He also had parts on Blonde’s “Self Control” and “White Ferrari” (a song that credits Om’Mas Keith, James Blake, Paul McCartney, and John Lennon).
