Amy Winehouse Sings "Back to Black" A Capella With Mark Ronson in New Documentary Clip

Amy, Asif Kapaida’s feature-length documentary about the life of Amy Winehouse, arrived in British theaters last week. Ahead of its nationwide U.S. release this Friday, here’s another clip. This one features a session for the title track of Back to Black, with Winehouse nailing the take while producer Mark Ronson sits at the controls. Ronson also reflects on their partnership, concluding, “I just caught her at that magic moment.” Watch it below.

The film, which broke the UK box office record for a British documentary’s opening weekend, has met some controversy. The late singer’s family have declared their dissociation from the film, and last week, her father Mitch Winehouse appeared on British talk show Loose Women, vowing to release an alternative film to “tell the truth about Amy’s life.”
