Band of Horses Team With J. Mascis for New Song "In a Drawer"

Band of Horses have shared “In a Drawer,” a new track that features backing vocals from Dinosaur Jr.’s J. Mascis, Sera Cahoone, and Jenn Champion. You can listen to it below. “In a Drawer” will appear on their upcoming album Why Are You OK, which is due June 10. Previously, they shared a lyric video for “Casual Party.” They’ll also perform “Casual Party” on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” on May 18. 

J. Mascis is also in the news today for another reason: On Wednesday, a Massachusetts Volkswagen dealership shared a photo of the Dinosaur Jr. guitarist purchasing a new car. “We were very starstruck!!” the dealership wrote on Facebook. “Congratulations to Jay Mascis [sic] from Dinosaur Jr. on your 2016 ‪#‎Volkswagen‬ ‪#‎Golf‬” The photo went viral, because good mileage rocks more than “Freak Scene.” Find that photo below.
