Bill Withers celebrates several milestones this year: on top of being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, his classic live album Live at Carnegie Hall turns 42. On October 1, the soul legend will make a rare appearance at Carnegie Hall for a tribute concert.

Artists including D’Angelo, Ed Sheeran, Aloe Blacc, Sheryl Crow, Amos Lee, Keb’ Mo’, Michael McDonald, Gregory Porter, Kathy Mattea, Ledisi, and Dr. John will perform Live at Carnegie Hall in its entirety, in addition to other songs from Withers’ catalog. More artists will be announced.

Proceeds from the benefit will go to the Stuttering Association for the Young. (Withers has stuttered since childhood).
