Bloc Party Return With "The Love Within"

Back in 2013, Bloc Party announced a hiatus; in the interim, frontman Kele released his latest solo album Trick. The band are back once again. They’ve just released a new single, “The Love Within”, which is the first song off their upcoming, as-yet untitled fifth album. Listen to it below.

The band says the fifth record will be out in early 2016. Recently, they performed at Maida Vale for BBC Radio 6, where they performed new songs “Exes” and “The Good News”. Check that out below.

Earlier this year, Kele discussed the album’s direction in an interview on the Australian radio station Triple J (via Rolling Stone). “So far there’s nothing that I can compare it to really in terms of other musicians, whereas in the past I always could—we were always trying to reference something else,” he said. “I feel that this is very much our own record. I’m very excited by it.”
