Bon Iver's Justin Vernon Introduces Bernie Sanders at Eau Claire Rally: Watch

On Saturday morning, April 2, Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders held a rally at W.L. Zorn Arena at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Eau Claire native Justin Vernon (of Bon Iver) introduced Sanders at the event, endorsing him in his speech. Watch below (starting at 5:21), via NME.

Vernon is the latest musician to throw his support behind Sanders. Earlier this week, the Thermals opened for him at a Portland rally. In January, Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig and Dirty Projectors’ Dave Longstreth played at an Iowa rally. Koenig also discussed Sanders on CNN. And Killer Mike has given speeches at rallies, interviewed Sanders at length, talked about him on “Colbert,” been on a panel with him about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and represented him in a post-debate spin room.
