Broken Social Scene Return With “Halfway Home,” First New Song in 7 Years: Listen

Over five years after declaring a hiatusBroken Social Scene are back. The band have shared “Halfway Home.” It’s their first new track since 2010, when they put out Forgiveness Rock Record. “Halfway Home” will appear on the band’s new record, which Kevin Drew said is finished and will be out before the fall, in a new interview with SiriusXMU. (He previously teased a summer release.) They have not offered any other details on the album, but last year, Feist revealed that recorded for it. Below, listen to “Halfway Home” and Drew’s SiriusXMU interview.
