Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen Make Grilled Cheese with Rachel Ray

Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen recently swung by the Rachel Ray Show to make “Birds in the Nest”, an egg-filled take on grilled cheese. As expected, it played out almost like one of the duo’s Portlandia skits: Armisen senses the time crunch of recording for live television, and says “I have a very slow story to tell you first” when asked to crack an egg. Carrie Brownstein and the rest of Sleater-Kinney will release their new album No Cities to Love on January 20 in the U.S. and January 19 internationally via Sub Pop.
