Coachella 2017: Man Arrested for Stealing Over 100 Phones

A man was arrested on Friday during the first night of Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival after being caught with over 100 stolen smartphones that he had apparently taken from concertgoers throughout the course of the day, as CoS points out. According to Palm Springs NBC affiliate KMIR, police were able to arrest Reinaldo De Jesus Henao after festival attendees used the “Find My iPhone” function to track down Henao’s position and have security detain him until authorities arrived. While several of the devices were returned to their rightful owners over the course of the weekend, many more can be found on the festival’s lost and found page. Check out a photo of the full spread of stolen devices here.
