Dan Deacon Announces Gliss Riffer, Shares Wonderfully Bizarre "Feel the Lightning" Video

Just as promisedDan Deacon has a new album coming next year. The follow-up to 2012′s America is called Gliss Riffer, and it’s out February 24 in North America and February 23 everywhere else via Domino. Find the Andrew Jeffrey Wright-directed video for “Feel The Lightning” below. It’s a wonderfully bizarre, multi-colored fantasy in which furniture comes to live. And, yes, the “female” vocals on the song are by Deacon.

Following his ensemble-based records Bromst and AmericaGliss Riffer is a return to a simpler, self-produced way of writing and recording (similar to his breakout 2007 album Spiderman of the Rings), according to a press release.

A limited pressing of 777 red colored vinyl is available through Domino as a pre-order. It comes with a limited edition 12″ inflatable hand (like the one on the album cover, above).

Deacon has also announced a batch of headlining world tour dates.
