De La Soul Wrote a New Song for Angry Birds

On August 26, De La Soul will release their new album, which features David Byrne, Damon Albarn, Snoop Dogg, and more. Ahead of that, they’ve written a new song about… Angry Birds. “Action” appears in the new update for Angry Birds Action!, the latest iteration of the popular mobile game. As part of the update, De La Soul will appear in the game as birds for one week, and confer special powers upon the player. (That’s them above, in bird form.) It’s the first time they’ve made music for a video game. “We are fans of the game, so we were very happy to be involved,” the group’s Pos said in a press release.
