Donald Glover Calls Migos “The Beatles of This Generation”

Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) had a big night at the 74th Golden Globe Awards yesterday, where his FX television series “Atlanta” won Best Television Comedy and Glover himself took home Best Actor in a TV Comedy Series. During his acceptance speech for the first award, he thanked not only the city of Atlanta but also rap trio Migos, who make an appearance in the show. “I’d like to thank the Migos—not for being on the show, but for making ‘Bad and Boujee,’” he said. His praise didn’t end there. Glover continued to shout out Migos backstage, as Vulture reports. “I think they’re the Beatles of this generation and I don’t think they get a lot of respect beyond Atlanta,” he said.

Glover continued: “There’s a generation of kids that are growing up on something that’s completely separate from a whole group of people. That song [‘Bad and Boujee’] is just fly. There’s no better song to have sex to.”
